Collective Curriculum
Education is the heart of our work. It provides Civil Society organisations & practitioners with the knowledge, the frameworks, and the context they need to apply their own expertise and values to artificial intelligence. Our three-tier curriculum is built on lessons from our original research — looking back at Civil Society's historical role in renegotiating the social contract, and forward to the conditions shaping its relevance in the decades ahead.
Theoria (Tier 1)
AI Fundamentals
for Civil Society
Where every learner begins, regardless of technical background or seniority. A foundational programme for Civil Society practitioners who chose this work because it matters and whose communities need them to navigate AI with genuine judgement. You begin by auditing where your attention actually goes. You build evidence about your own work — where AI helps, where it fails in ways specific to your domain, what oversight actually costs. By the time you reach strategy and coalition-building, you have a body of evidence, not just opinions.

Techne (Tier 2)
Your organisation is the research site; your sector is the beneficiary. You will leave with a publishable sectoral knowledge artifact: evidence rigorous enough to be useful to the field, not just your team.
AI Practice and
Sectoral Knowledge
Where implementers and programme officers go deeper. The sector doesn't need more AI tools — it needs practitioners with the confidence to apply their values, ethics, and professional expertise. And it needs rigorous, practitioner-generated evidence about AI’s impact in Civil Society contexts, and on communities.

Phronesis (Tier 3)
Strategic Governance
for Civil Society in the AI Era
Where boards and senior leaders ask the harder question — not how to use or evaluate AI, but how to govern not just an organisation but a sector, and a society, being reshaped by it. Three days in retreat, six months of coach-supported, peer-workshopped strategic development. You will leave with a robust governance philosophy rooted in your own values and expertise, the tools you need to implement that philosophy in your work, and a network of fellow travellers to support you.
